The Steel beam or I beam is made from steel alloy having slightly rounded corners. The steel beams are available according to two standards: American Standard and Aluminum Association standard. The difference between these standards is that according to American Standard steel beam has tapered flanges at both ends while according to Aluminum Association standard the beam has uniform thick flanges with squared ends. It is durable, recyclable, and lightweight. The steel beam is used for several purposes such as
